Getting Crunchy, Part II

13 Jun

I just returned from a short trip to Seattle where fabulous food and fun are in ample supply. One of my dear friends, who’s well aware of my penchant for granola, gifted me with some fabulous granola from a small, up-and-coming baking company called Two Spoons and a Cup.

OMG, the granola — brimming with sliced almonds, sesame seeds, just the right amount of coconut and candied ginger — is fantastic. I love the idea of adding ginger in place of raisins or other dried fruit. The ginger gives every bite a nice spicy and sweet kick. I can’t wait to experiment with my own recipe for gingered granola.

Hearing more about how Two Cups got its start was also very inspiring and is encouraging me to think more about pursuing my own dreams of starting a food-related business.
