About Baking Amok

Thanks for stopping by! When I started this blog, my vision for Baking Amok was to chronicle my baking trials, tribulations and successes as I aspire to one day make a living via my oven. However, over the last few months my vision has evolved; my interests are very broad and I wanted an outlet to share my experiences, recommendations and random thoughts. Plus, as much as I love to cook and bake, it can be a major production to test new recipes on a regular basis.

While this blog will certainly serve as a laboratory for food I create as well as recipes I come across from blogs, cookbooks and other sources of foodie inspiration, Baking Amok will also veer off the baking path for topics covering travel, food, health/beauty and other diversions that come our way. In my day job, I’m a freelance writer and a communications/public relations consultant in the consumer technology field so I’m also interested in exploring how technology impacts the way we interact with, discover, market, create, consume, etc. food.

I’m taking it one experience, one adventure and one cookie at a time. I apologize now for the randomness that is sure to ensue, but I hope you’ll come by often for a visit. 🙂

Please feel free to leave comments and feedback (please see policy below) on the blog or you can reach me at BakingAmok [at] gmail [dot] com. Thanks again for visiting!
